Getting Started -- Help

  • Questions:

     

    1) My scale weight is 236 and I am 21% body fat.  What should my protein/carb/fat be? I heard that it is 1g protein/carb per pound.

    2) Complex carbohydrates have protein in them.  Is this part of your protein total for the day?  If I weight 236 and I need 236 grams of protein do I divide that by 6 and shoot for that total in actual protein sources?  

     

    I like concrete numbers, which is why I do not use the palm method.  I just want to know what the experts say on this.
