Hi everyone!
I also started the challenge on 4/11/11 and would love to join this group! I have done the BFL challenge before back in 2007 and had amazing results. I just had a baby in June and haven't had any motivation to get back in shape until just recently. Now I am full steam ahead with BFL and really enjoying being back at the gym! My diet has been right on point the past few days and I am really focused on finishing another successful challenge. I can't wait to follow this thread and support each other in our journey!

Hi everybody, fun to read the messages and pen names or whatever. I hit Gold's gym this morning, did 20 min on the treadmill then to the lower body workout. Did some ham string lifts laying on my stomach, owwee, quad lifts, and sit ups for abs, trying to follow BFL format that is tough! Have an injured Lateral Collateral Ligament I think from biking about 3 weeks ago and it won't heal! Pulled a 60 lb kid in a trailer for ten miles..think I must of sprained it. I can walk but can't twist knee with weight on it...have on an Ace brace for now. Had husband take 3 pictures yesterday; front, side and back. Now THAT is a motivator!
(I hope I post this correctly...my first post :) )
like you, mac, starting AGAIN (and again) today. dog gone it! this is the LAST time I am starting! I get sidetracked too.... life gets in the way, emotional eating gets in the way, excuses get in the way - ugh. why is it that when you know what to do and how to get there....you don't practice what you preach??! For me it's about staying focused and motivated. I love BFL - did it in 2004 (sooo long ago) and rocked it. That was far too long ago. How bout you Mac and ELC90? when was your last "again"?
Everyone else....your best motivational tip??
so happy to be back!
Hii JillyB..
It's my first time in the challenge, but I think that the most important thing to succeed and get motivated it's to truly believe in the process and just imagine how wonderful you'll be by the end of the 12 weeks *.*
Aloha 4/11 crew! @mac and Jilly B I like you guys started strong and then fell off I've owned the BFL book for over 12 years now and tried 2 times before only to fail... I just finished my first full challenge on the third of this month and OMG It was soo worth sticking through with it! Round 2 for me and had a great LBWO to start the morning off Eating has been on par this whole week and looking forward to measuring come the end of next week ( didn't do it first challenge) Now i want to track everything... Stay strong everyone!!!! Kaina
JillyB,
The last time I did BFL was last May. My biggest challenge is not giving up when I have a setback. I was into 4 weeks of working out and eating right and got sick for 2 weeks. So here I am. It was so much easier my first time in 2005. Many things have changed since then.
Motiviational tips for me:
1. Make sure I have easy healthy food on hand and plan meals.
2. Get a good week in and a good cheat day. Once I get one week in, I am ok, unless I get sick and have to start over. I am NOT going to get sick.
3. Do HIIT for 20 minutes so that I couldn't do anymore. Sometimes I think I was plodding along on the treadmill and not giving it my all.
Good workouts to all! Melissa
mac I hope you don't get sick!
Island Dude, you and I are in the same boat. I finished one challenge after many failed attempts and now I am ready for another!!
My best "motivational tip" is the feeling of completing the challenge- indescribable. A real feeling of accomplishment and it shows. My friends (and even people I didn't know but saw regularly) would complement me on my biceps, leanness, and overall better attitude about myself.
I hope that we can all achieve this together! As I write my family is having dessert in the kitchen, and I decided to run back and post again to avoid temptation.

Hi All,
Just did LBWO. Ate right, so far so good.
KatieBug, good for you for resisting dessert. You are right about the feeling after 12 weeks. I hope we all get there! Tomorrow I am going to the Penquins playoff game. Already worrying about food. Maybe I will adjust my cheat day from Saturday. Melissa
thanks everyone for the 'tips'. i do need to plan plan plan my food. that was my downfall in the past. i image myself cooking and then packing my meals in the frig on a sunday.....but then sunday rolls around, life takes over and poof (!) i end up not preparing my weekly meals.
focus - plan - and invision the outcome - my new mantra!

I'm loving loving loving BFL..Today was my 2nd aerobic solution and I almost died on the treadmill..But the feeling after the workout was amazing!!
MiiFit
I did my lower body yesterday so sore couldn't do my cardio today, but will make up for it on Sunday. Damn thighs are killing me ;(
I'm in! I started on 4-11-2011. I lost 20 lbs following this program in 1998....it works! Bad thing is, here in 2011 I am heavier than I was prior to starting the 98 contest. Starting all over again but the important thing is, I can testify that it works!
Greetings everyone!! Nice to see the steady chatter on here motivation INDEED! welcome MR. Nub Yes it does work I am on round 2 and fired up as ever!
@Bronco Hang in there breaking the body in is always the biggest challenge.. By next week it'll be much better.. Got my HIIT WO done 530 am outta the way folowed by a nice 2.5 mile walk for my lunch break.. Upper body tomorrow Cant wait :-) Keep it up all.... AAAALLLOOHHHAAA!!
I'm now ready for my Upper body workout!
Welcome to the team Mr Nub!
Good workouts everyone!
@Island_dude- thanks man I'm trying, I knew I would get some soreness but man O man, hate to be this sore only a couple of days into it. I didn't do heavy squats, I may need to go way lower or replace it with extensions or something until the thighs adapt better to exercse.
