Hey Michelle, You can do it this time! IN my mind this isnt a one time thing. I plan on eating like this and working out like this for the rest of my life. If I dont I will gain weight back. If I never set foot ina gym again I wuld certainly continue to eat clean. It just makes me feel better and look better even if I am heavier. (due to no gym)
You can also try Greek Yougert. It has more protein and less sugar. Use it instead of sour cream and use it for a veggie dip.
I am here for you, lets chat anytime!
Lisa

short to long term... lose weight. With that said I need to loose about 85 lbs.
I know this will happen over night( I so wish it could )but I am ready and I know I can do this...
Ok anyone else want to share?
Michelle,
I totally nderstand needing help, I need it too!
I am here for you ! I will try to motivate and cheer you on, I know you can do it!
Hi all, this sounds like a good group to talk to. I too have done BFL many years ago with success only to re gain the weight, I have attempted to complete it several times since then without success. This time I am losing it for good. You all are ahead of me so far, I plan on starting the 3rd, my youngest had his birthday today so I endulged in cake and ice cream ( it was not very satisfyng though), i guess that's a good thing. It is not the best weekend to start being a holiday weekend but I am committed to finishing the challenge this time. I am hoping that getting involved in these chats with others with the same goals will help. Those who don't care for cottage cheese, mix it with your yogurt- it is much better tasting.
Melissa
Hi Melissa,
It is nice to hear your determination sounds like you are one of us already! Most of us have tried before and maybe just didn't follow through. I think we have a great group here and We all need help and encouragement.
I know for me one of the best things I am doing to make it easier is getting my meals planned out and ready for the next day and for work. And being on this for me makes grocery shopping easier.
And I am trying to do anything I can to make cottage cheese easer for me to eat.LOL I am having a very hard time with it. I do like Riccotta cheese tho' is that the same?
Hi All,
My goal is to get to 145 (165 now) and stay fit for life. Maybe not BFL fit but very fit. My dad died of kidney failure complications due to obesity at 450 pounds and 6ft 6. So that has helped me stay at 165ish. I run (slowly) all the time but feel like I am only staving off obesity. I know I have to do diet and weight training. My biggest goal is to run a marathon before I can't. I am 5'6.5" and need to lose weight so I won't destroy my feet running. And so I'll speed up. At 13 minute miles now. But only running 2 miles or less.
Diet is my demon. Was a skinny kid growing up and wouldn't eat. Now I eat everything. Got to get the mindset on! Thank you for the warm welcome. I oh soooooo needed it!
I would love us to have a team name to wrap my virtual head around. Any ideas.... Love, Michelle
Hi Lisa, what exactly is this eat clean you speak of?
Now I know why my mom eats Greek yogurt. When I did BFL before I did not use a gym and do not now. I use free weights and running mostly. And a big ball for when I get bored. It works really well. Gyms are great- just expensive.
Thanks for the welcome Lisa! Your little bit skinnier friend, Michelle
WOW , I can't believe the response on this page IT'S WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!
To everyone welcome! I think we have a great group going now.
I think that Myyonna should have first pick of the name she started this page. :) :)
To Myyonna, look how you have inspired all these people, WOW!!!
Thank you, Thank you for all the recipes on cottage cheese. I'm sure one or more will "help the medicine go down" lol.
I have seen the Eating Clean book. I was just unsure if it could be used for or with BFL.
One of my goals is to just keep up with the workouts and not miss a day. I also need to keep a food journal so I don't get to starvation mode(or hungry, hungry hippo's I like that!!! lol)
I do need to lose about 35 punds to be where I was in the first challenge.
Thank You to everyone!!!
Hi Lonna, I am doing well. Planning ahead is keeping me strong in the food dept. I am planning a strong weekend and maybe a cocktail or two on Saturday night. I will enjoy one cheat meal on Sunday!
I was wondering if you know if you can use machine wieght instead of free weights?
HI Its Lisa, I want to lose 30 pounds. I weigh 163 and am 5'5 I lost 28 pounds a year ago with clean eating and I was road biking and working out with weights. I moved, got married and every weekend was a party. Yiks now look at me. I need to start again. I have been BFLing for three days. I give up and have decided that I will have to maintain this lifestyle if I want to remain thin and fit. There is just no way around it. I slip too easily into loving food. I love to cook and eat and sometimes between work, school and hobbies I get lazy for the gym. I am pleased that we can make a group here to support one another! Lets kick some ass! Some fat ass that is! LOL
I say if you dont like cottage cheese dont eat it. FInd another source of protein, Have a shake, or hummus or fish. I dont think that we have to eat cottage cheese jsut a protein source. Am I on the right track here?
