Michelle: Quick check-in on you. I think today is cardio for you. Give it your all, and make it count...just two more after today. You are almost there!
damage: how did the job interview go? I bet you looked dapper in your new suit.
Grocery: We are all just staying here for Michelle to finish up, and then moving over to the warrior thread; we can pick up where we left off there. Those starting on 11/22, will also post on the 11/22 thread. Gheez, I wish we could vote as well...a few of us would be shoe-ins, since we've got the most Awesome & active group on the boards!
Luv ya guys! Have an active day!

GO Michelle!!!! Can you see the finish line?
Good Morning Michelle! Wed - Thurs - Fri - Sat - Sun - And you are done!!
Just wanted to tell you ahead of time how proud I am of you. It has been fun cheering you on.
Keep up the good work this week & keep working hard. Don't push too hard though, no since of getting hurt for AR; just simply keep doing what you have been. Hopefully you are feeling better.
I will check in again on you tomorrow.
(Clapping) Mi-Chelle! Mi-Chelle! Mi-Chelle!
Look at you go, girly!!!
There's a girl out there warming up with your max.
WOOT WOOT, Michelle!
Hey Michelle!!
you've got this!! have a great day!
My interview went very well, thanks for the support. They say that I won't hear anything for 3-4 weeks. It was weird, I wasn't overly nervous. I'm not sure if I was nervous at all. No clue why I wasn't. Confidence you say, not sure what that is. Not very familiar. If it was confidence, then I'm a fan. I want some more of it.
Heading to the gym soon for lunch. I haven't worked out since Saturday. I think I've spent too much time on the R part of the AR.
Go Michelle! Go Michelle! Go Michelle!
Thanks everybody! I had a really tough HIIT on the treadmill. Here is how it went:
1:00 5.0 mph
2:00 5.0 mph
3:00 5.5 mph
4:00 6.0 mph
5:00 6.5 mph
6:00 7.0 mph
7:00 5.5 mph
8:00 6.0 mph
9:00 6.5 mph
10:00 7.0 mph
11:00 5.5 mph
12:00 6.0 mph
13:00 6.5 mph
14:00 7.0 mph
15:00 5.5 mph
16:00 6.0 mph
17:00 6.5 mph
18:00 7.0 mph
19:00 7.5 mph (barely made it through this minute - HR was 190)
19:30 5.0 mph (couldn't breathe...)
20:00 5.5 mph
Cooldown for ~3 minutes
These speeds are NOTHING compared to Staats but are GREAT compared to where I started. At the beginning of my challenge, I was walking at 4.0 for the first 2 minutes and finished with 6.0 KILLING me by the end. I ran a 5k early in my challenge that I finished at 44 minutes and some change. My next one was the following week and I finished it a little over 38 minutes. I had to stop sometimes and walk during each of those first couple 5ks. I ran the next one in intervals (without walking) and I finished it in 31:06. Today's run was ~2.1 miles in that 20 minutes.
During today's run I kept thinking about "perceived failure" and pushing through it to a true 10. There were so many times I thought to myself "I can't do this even one more second" during each 7.0 mph interval. Then I pushed past that and ran for a full minute at 7.5. If I didn't hit my 10 today, I never have.
I'm not sure what to do about the next challenge. I agreed to run a half marathon in January and really need to start training as soon as this challenge is over. I have no doubt that I can do it. My partner for the First Light half marathon proposed that we run it in intervals wherein we run for a mile and then walk for one minute. All I know is that I WILL be in that race. There is no way I'll win, but I'll finish. I can't wait to have that little sticker on the back window of my truck that says "13.1."
I couldn't have gotten through today's last minute without you all. I kept thinking about these posts today telling me I got this and to go, go, go. I couldn't let you down. I couldn't come here and say, "Well, ok, I did my HIIT" and know inside that it was no better than before. You're all so great. I thank you so very, very much.
Michelle
The only real obstacles in life are those you place in front of yourself. There is always an alternative or another way around, even if that alternative is just looking at the obstacles in a positive light!
Nice job, Michelle! Wow! Secretly, I still hope that someday I can run and at least like it!
Yay, Michelle...WTG! I know exactly what you are talking about. My final high speed on the treadmill was 8.5, but for my very last minute of my last HIIT, I ran at 9, and felt like my legs were going to give out on me halfway through...I then focused mentally on finishing, and I am alive to tell about it. Your 5K time is impressive. I will run my first one on Dec. 18th. I am going to do another one in Feb., just to beat whatever time I get in this one. So glad that our cheering brought you home.....
Have a great weight workout tomorrow; you are getting so close!
Good Morning Michelle!
Just checking in with you. Four more days, and you will join that elite 5%. How's that feel? Awesome!!
Have a fantastic workout today and eat CLEAN!!! You can do this...you are almost there!
Michelle,
Don't worry about "Staats' times" ... your improvement is AWESOME!! They key is that you are constantly improving & increasing your speeds to always hit that 10! I AM SO IMPRESSED & PROUD OF YOU!
Keep going girl, you are almost there. We are screaming for you at the finish line.
Yeah, Michelle! Go for what you KNOW today!
Hi Michelle,

Michelle, Such an awesome HIIT! WOW, those are speeds that I would love to get to and not close. So, this is awesome!! Push, push, push. We are cheering you on but YOU are making it happen!
