roy1531, you've got mail! :-)
Love you some you...PERSEVERE!
I'm a male in the mix.
Good first day start. Was a bit late on lunch and a bit late on dinner, but I think it's okay. Great workout. Going to really feel it tomorrow though.
Trying to mesh mine and my hubby's schedules I went 6 hours between breakfast and my next meal. It bothers me but I know that I can't dwell on every imperfection. All I can do is learn from it and commit to do better tomorrow.
We're adding glutamine to our shakes and so far feel pretty okay. Will let you know if that changes by Sunday though, our first full week of extreme effort. ;)
One more shake at 11 then off to bed! I finished Day 1!!! Tomorrow is a brand new day, another opportunity to change my bad habits and create the fit body I know is inside. So glad to be on this journey with everyone. Here's to you all and new beginnings!
Great day today- followed the plan, stuck with it and feel pretty good... a bit wired, even, which I think is the 'newbie high'.
83 to go! ;)

Day 3 for me today. Great first leg workout, wondering if I'm going to be able to walk tomorrow :)
Already feeling more energy and overall better from eating clean and drinking my water. Hotter than hell here today so not hard to drink my 10 cups at least.

Great day 3 workout for me. I brought an Oxygen magazine with me to the gym this morning. When I didn't think I was going to get through the high point, I kept my focus on the cover model to remind me of the goals and that I can do this!
Try not to complicate it too much with grams and cals, where you will get overwhelmed. As far as the EAS products go, I recently got a Sam's club membership that was 15 weeks for $15 while I was on vacation so I could buy a speedo at a discount. The protien powder by EAS would make up for that at 24.95 for 5 lbs. I also bought 24 EAS AdvantEDGE carb control rtd for@$27. Bodybuilding.com has EAS CLA buy one get one for @$27-$28. I've tried other brands of CLA and EAS is the best. You only have to buy one EAS brand supplement though. Walmart has 4 pks. of Myoplex and AdvantEDGE and the protein bars.
Good morning! GREAT day 2 cardio. My legs were jello when I got off the stationary bike. I woke before my alarm this morning. It's amazing how much better a body feels when you provide the right fuel for it. I hope everyone has a great day and wonderful evening. Time for my 10am meal. Keep plugging away and I'll see you all again tomorrow.
Can't tell you how important mastering the mental part of this is to me. Before, I focused on the eating and work outs and would find myself right back where I started months later. That's why I'm spending at least 45 min in the morning reading the forum, reading success stories in my journal, practicing positive future thinking and writing in my journal. I have to break the cycle of patterns I've practiced for 40 plus years or I will not get anywhere. I've been through a lot of loss in my life and self medicated accordingly. I've managed to cement some really bad habits and patterns. But because of all that I've become the eternal optimist(the alternative is sad) and am determined to change my life, for life,FOR ME!
I definitely think the forum is going to help me finish out this challenge. I've started and stopped other challenges, but I never fully committed to journaling and the community support. I'm ready to see one completely through this time. I keep out my BFL book, the journal and other quotes that I can read through daily as well.
You can buy discounted EAS products through Ebay as well. Using the Advantage Shakes, Myoplex Lite and the Whey Protein is helping me get in all my meals and to satisfy any sweet cravings. :)
I had a REALLY good post written directed to each of you for a job well done and motivation. However, my computer decided to reset the page and erase it! :S For now just know that we are all doing awesome! So glad you guys are feeling the high of healthy living and finding your tens! I can't rewrite the post bc it's time for me to go find mine on the treadmill. :)
Keep up the good work! TTYL
Winner54 you are so right. Years ago (like 8 or 9) I started a BFL challenge and quit after 3 weeks. It was very odd as I was seeing great results and was sticking with the nutrition and exercise plan but just stopped. Looking back I realize my head wasn't in the game.
This time no half hearted effort. Coming here at least once a day is very helpful, as well I started a blog (which is also a first for me).Bought the Success journal and did all the little things in preparation like my motivational poster, "before pictures" stuck to the fridge and on my bedside table to look at and think about before going to sleep and when I wake up.
Another huge difference this time is my wife is 100% with me, to the point that even though she is in good shape she is doing the program along side looking to gain some lean muscle.. We realized for this to be a Life change we need to do it together otherwise it won't stick long term.
Having a work out partner is great and even though we are only 3 days in I can see the difference in my effort to hit my 10's with her there cheering me on. Nothing says reach for that 10 like your wife whispering "Brad Pitt body" in your ear while spotting you.
Greetings!
Sharon--did you really just complete your 6th challenge on Sunday? Awesome news! I need to click on your page and gt some insight!
Sister Pam, great job on focusing on the hard body on the cover of Oxygen magazine. That's one way to get through a work out! I got up early this morning and ran on the treadmill. I didn't want to...I am like...really? Am I already unmotivated? I took a short peek at my before photos and I got motivated REAL quick.
Winner54---you are so right. My sister sent me an email yesterday about chaning our mental status....it even came with a mental change contract to sign...lol Pam, you still have it? Can you post it?
Brad Pitt body!!!!! Jennifer Aniston body!!!!! Heck, I would even take Angelina's body....lol
LOL.. The Brad Pitt body comments come from my motivational poster. When I was looking for motivational pictures, I picked guys that are older than me and look great in their 40's. I mean if they can do it so can I with focus and determination. Part of the mental process for me is getting over the "I'm almost 40 time to slip into middle age" mindset I was getting into.
Fit4life from the forums here also made my poster!
Yes Stacy I did. It wasn't easy but once I got one done, I had to keep going. I had a long way to go. :-)
