I don't have all of the answers by any means. But I do know that BFL works AS WRITTEN. And I also believe that the original book is much better than the BFL for Women, and the BFL Champions books. Bill did a great job in the original book explaining why we need to eat correctly (and how) and why we will benefit from lifting weights (and again, how.) I think sticking to the program is much easier when it's been thoroughly explained to you first, which it is in the original book.

To me, if it's anyone's first challenge, it needs to be by-the-book, and I mean the first book. Then modify or tweak to your hearts content once you have a full challenge completed. But when people complain that they aren't seeing results, it's almost without fail that they will include in their story ways that they aren't actually following BFL. And while I realize there are many ways to workout and see great results, BFL works VERY WELL for people who are very out of shape and who are relatively new to lifting weights.

This post isn't meant to be critical, I just can't help feeling bad for anyone who isn't seeing the results they want, while they're tweaking and modifying the program. If you really want to change, it takes sacrifice. Tweaking the workouts and eating to make them "seem or feel better" may sound harmless on the surface, but the results will speak for themselves. It's hard work getting from overweight and out of shape, into great shape. You're going to feel uncomfortable. You're going to have to make tough choices and stick to them. You're going to have to leave your comfort zone and push yourself.

Taking the easy road is how we all ended up fat and out of shape in the first place. We all need to remember that when we tweak or modify to make things more enjoyable or easy. Don't do it. Read the book, follow the instructions, and give it your 10 effort everyday, whether it's eating or working out.

Best wishes to everyone using BFL - it works!

Cottage Cheese Club

So here is our check in:(cut and paste what you want)

I'm excited to say that I'll be starting BFL on 2/18. It's my first challenge, and definitely much needed. I started at 305 last January, and I've been losing weight over the past year, nearly 60 pounds so far, but I want to kick these last 35 pounds out, and tone up. I'm getting a gym membership next week to get acquainted with the place and take the week to plan out all my meals etc., then going all out starting 2/18. Anyone want to team up on it?

Looking forward to sharing the results in May!

OH BOY STARTING FOR THE SECOND TIME 04/08/2013

OK everyone hope everyone is having a great day.. I am starting my new challenge on Monday April 8 2013.. I tried to start this challenge back in 2010 but due to a series of strokes and a heart attack at the early age of 38 it had taken a complete toll on me. But now i have the go ahead and start this challenge.. Look so foward to it, had some set backs in the last couple of years with a destroyed knee and had donated bone plates and screws put in it, had to learn how to walk again.. I have gained so much weight and am so miserable in my own skin.. I have done all my research and read the Body for lifes champions book twice already also to make sure i am in the right direction.. Instead of looking at this challenge as 84 days of dieting, I am looking at it as a day by day stepping stone to a more wonderful life... Have a great day my friends...

Mobile app for iPhone?

Does anyone know when it is coming out?

DOWNER!!! 3rd wk,no results=binge :(

Hey guys

Have had a bad day today

Im on day 17 of the plan and have pretty done as the plan states- 6 clean meals a day, water,UBWO,LBWO and cardio x2 per week and one rest day where I eat what I want-but this hasnt been anywhere near the scale on what I used to eat prior to the plan.

I dont feel any different in my clothes or how I look,my measurements and weight has not changed one bit. And im so surprised as I used to live on rubbish food, snacking all the time-high fat,low nutrients; so changing my diet to low fat, high nutrient, regular meals I would of thought I would lose some weight straight away, even if I am exercising and building muscle at the same time (and I barely moved at all prior to plan).

So ive just thought-all the hard work and effort ive put in and nothing has come out of it-and im gonna look a right state on the beach in 6 wks. I really wanted to look and feel my best and for my husband to feel proud of me.

So ive eaten a bit of junk today, gone a bit mad and I feel like poop :(

Accountability!!

I have to be accountable. I like to keep food secrets, so I have to tell y'all EVERYTHING I eat/drink.

Breakfast: apx 2 eggs Egg Whites, 1 apple, coffee, one 8 oz glass of water

8 oz. glass of Water

Mid-meal: apx 1/2 C cottage cheese, apx 15 blueberries

Mid-meal: EAS AdvantEDGE protein shake

I am going to start my 12 challenge on Monday May 20. In the last year I have lost 60+ pounds and have gotten to a respectable size. I lost that weight mostly by changing my eating habits and doing very little exercise.. Mostly walking.. It is now time to lose that last 20 pounds, build muscle and re-shape my body. I have done Body for Life before and have had great results. I have made it maybe 8 weeks a couple times... But have never officially finished the whole 12 weeks. this is a habit I tend to have... I start things and never finish them. Well this time I am going to finish what I start. I have lost the bulk of what I needed to lose, and now it's time to get serious. Who's with me?

I believe!! + one question

Good morning everyone! Today is my last workout of week 3 of BFL. When I started this challenge, I took my before picture... yikes... that one will be hiding in the depths of my IPhone for awhile. So I weighed myself this morning and there has been no change since I started. Well this really put me into a grumpy mood, but then I remembered I had taken measurements (I know I shouldn't measure until end of week 4). However, to my pleasant surprise I have lost .5 inches on a few places on my body!! I was not expecting that! Then I went to my closet and picked out a skirt I KNEW I could not zip last year and what do you know, I was able to zip it up!

It is astonishing to me that the scale doesn't go down, but that I truly am making progress. Besides any signs of outward change, I am feeling so much better! I sleep great at night and have tons of energy throughout the day. I used to always feel like I needed a nap and now I never do. Also, I feel at this point I'm really getting used to the routine of my workouts.

My goal for the upcoming week is to really focus on getting to the higher intensity levels when I'm doing my weight lifting. I have one question on that, if I'm doing an exercise (say dumbbell chest press) and am on my final set of 12, is it okay to switch weights in the middle. For example, I want to push myself hard so I will press 25 lbs, but then usually around 8 my arms are jello, is it okay for me to grab 20s and finish my last 4?

Anyone interested in Starting November 5, (Monday) 2012....

New to BFL program, and was hoping to start a forum to help stay on track. I'm 48 yr old woman, have about 40 lbs of fat to loose and not much muscle tissue on my body....but that all changes this Monday!... :)

I was wondering if I can use them as a meal replacement with this program. the way advocare works is with the normal 3 meals, but if im supposed to eat 6 small meals, I don't want to double up with the shake and then eat again in a few hours. I would hate to accidently put weight on by drinking this in place of what should be a small meal, but I would like to use them since they were free. is this too much for a "small meal" replacement?

My name is Tim and this is actually my second challenge. I completed my first one in about 14 weeks last August with really good results, but after a slight break and trying some different exercises I found it difficult to stay motivated without a real target. So before I revert back to being an unhealthy sloth as I was before Challenge 1 I have decided to get back into it again.

On my last challenge we had a really good group on here that supported each other and I hope we can develop the same thing here on this thread. So welcome, and please introduce yourself. I am an Australian, now living in the UK so am ineligible for the Challenge, but that still didn't stop me posting my previous before and after pics in my last week of C1, as I will this time. Bit daunting, but is something to really aim working out hard for.

So welcome to the post-Easter Challenge!!!

BFL Warriors

The BFL Warriors began in early November, 2010, by a small group of people who successfully finished a 12 week Challenge together. For some of us, it was our first attempt and we were eager to learn. For others, it was the second or third time around and we were happy to share our experiences.

Through it all, we leaned on each other, sometimes carrying one another and sometimes being carried ourselves. We made it through.

I have been attempting to do the weight workouts for the past two weeks, but the only workouts that ever felt right were the first. This resulted in soreness, tenderness, etc... that told my body I had a good work out, or at least did something. Now when I workout, it seems too easy and fails to provide any soreness. I assume I am doing something wrong.

If the maximum weight I can bench press is 150 lbs, I do the following:

Set 1 120 lbs x 12 level 5

Set 2 130 lbs x 10 level 6

Set 3 140 lbs x 8 level 7-8

Set 4 150 lbs x 6 level 9

Set 5 130 lbs x 12 level 10

Set 6 130 lbs x 12 (switching excercise to incline bench or flies) level 10

Is this the correct understanding of the exercise method?

Thanks,

We would like to start by introducing ourselves! We are sisters from Utah and consider ourselves best friends. We have been close since we were kids. We share EVERYTHING!! Clothes, secrets, and a love for food!!! We have both struggled with weight for well over a decade. We have tried every "diet" under the sun (including BFL) and have clearly not been successful. We both have a zest for life and consider ourselves active despite our weight. However, we both know we are capable of so much more and we want to live an even fuller life!

One of us has two beautiful children and is now going through a divorce, what a perfect time to show him what he's missing! The other one is in the process of adopting two beautiful tween girls....hence the 20 pound weight gain this year! As sisters, one of our biggest motivations for doing this program, is to live a healthier lifestyle for our kids. There is so much garbage shoved into their mouths at school, friends, etc.....we want to make home a safe eating place.

Both of us are going through a change in our lives and we want to be able to show ourselves, and others what we are capable of. We are excited to share it here on the forum, because it's inspirational to see other success stories. We have attached our pics for your viewing pleasure, or pain, not sure?? We hope we motivate someone else to take the first step to a healthy lifestyle.

My name is Melissa and I'll be starting BFL again on April 15th. I'm a 38 y/o mom and wife that works full time. So I'm at the gym by 5am :( I hate it but a busy gal's gotta do what a busy gals gotta do! The last time I did this I made it about 5 week in and had good loss inches wise, but the scale hardly moved. Unfortunately I'm a numbers gal and I lost my motivation.

I'm going to have trouble with the eating because right now I don't eat until 2pm even though I'm up at 4:30am. I just get so busy I forget to eat.

I'm also going to struggle with the reduced time exercising. I currently run between 4 and 5 miles 3x's a week plus I'm hoping to ride my bike at least once a week for 15 miles! How crazy is it that I hardly eat and I workout a lot and I can't get break 195lbs....I'm only 5'4"!

I had a book and journal, but I'll be dammed if I can find them before Monday, so I'm just going to try the library and wing it until I find my book.

I have a total of 50lbs to lose, so I'm hoping to be here for at least two cycles. I really want to see this through.

I look forward to getting to know you all.

I plan to start a challenge on Monday, 3/18/13 and wanted to know if there is anyone else starting then. This will be my first challenge! I have gained 40 pounds in the past 6 months from a combination of medication side effects, holiday eating, and stopping smoking. I started exercising more once I crossed the 200 pound mark, but have been inconsistent with it. Plus I wasn't really dieting, so I just kept gaining and gaining weight. I'm done with that! I've always been overweight and my mom is morbidly obese, so it seems like now is really the time to get in shape before it gets too difficult. I'm 35 and have never exercised regularly, other than dance. There is a gym at my work and I've been orienting myself to it this week. I'm excited about the weight training and nervous about cardio. Several people in my department have expressed interest in working out together, so hopefully I will have lots of support during this journey. I'm nervous about actually finishing the program, as I am generally not very good at finishing what I start. That will be first goal - just finishing the challenge. So that's me! I'd love to get to know people on here and share our experiences.

first week

Closing in on finishing week one. It's nice to be active again. I actually completed BFL in October 2003 in preparation for my wedding date and was a trim 193 lbs. Since then I have gained 92 lbs and am now 285 lbs.

I am professionally successful as I own my own rapidly growing business, personally successful as I have a wife I love and two amazing boys aged 8 and 5 that are my life. The one thing I can not conquer is my weight. I had three heart attacks on October 3, 2009 and that was still not enough for me to turn my life around. I don't want to die. I want to be a better husband and father. I'm constantly tired and lacking energy to even play with my kids. It's terrible.

I act confident all day at work and lead people, then I go home and fight with extreme bouts of depression and eat my life away.

I am starting tomorrow, Sunday April 21, 2013. I'm not sure if anyone will read this but this will be my own little journal on the journey I'm about to embark on. I'm excited and scared to death of failing. I can't fail!! I need to do this for my family and for myself.

Talk to you soon.

So read the entire thing cover to cover!

I have noticed that Im doing different to the book, I am doing:

weights: (IM not actually using weights Im using those bands, Im at home no gym access)

Monday: upper body,

tues: lower body & abs

wed: upper

thurs: lower & abs

fri: upper

sat: lower & abs

sun: nothing!

WIth cardio Im doing:

DAILY 20mins on the bike & Ive just bought some wii dance games as I find when I dance I move a lot (im a good dancer lol)

But on reading the book Im only meant to do cardio 3 times a week?? Then weights the other day?

The thing is I am at home 24-7, so its not like I have things to do that would normally burn calories like a 'average' person! so I feel like I should do cardio everyday, I really go for it aswell it isn't just a gentle stroll!

So should I follow the book or carry on doing what I am doing? Thanks! :)

I have a question regarding the exercise routine. Can we perform other activities such as playing squash, doing spinning classes and other types of physical activities or must we just stick to this regime? I currently exercise twice a day, 2 hours broken down into 1 hour sessions. The reason I'm asking is that I really enjoy taking part in the classes they offer at the gym and love being active. I also do have the time to exercise for more than an hour a day and do it more for the enjoyment I get and the awesome feeling afterwards.

Obviously, I will adhere to the BFL Exercise regime, but just want to know if I can do more than what has been specified.

I'm brand-new, starting April 29th if all goes well. I'm a dietary vegan, and I'm looking for some helpful swap suggestions. After reading over the plans, I think I should be fairly okay with swapping out lean animal protein for seitan/tempeh/tofu, and I don't eat a lot of the processed fake cheese or veggie sausages anyway, so as long as I count my plant proteins as carbs too (lentils, beans, etc), I should be good. What has me really stumped, though, is breakfast. Are yogurt and egg whites the only bfast protein options? I would really prefer to not eat either. When I'm good, I usually like to have oatmeal with some almond butter or walnuts and a banana for breakfast, but is that too much fat? Keep in mind my bfast is usually on-the-go or at my desk, so it can't really be an omlette or anything too involved.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Exercise bike has gone from 5 mins (hard pushed to do that!!) to 20mins :-) Also doing weights for toning which are still hard but I push through!!! :-D Trying to get that up to ahour cardio plus weights, will take a few more weeks though! Trying not to go from zero to a million too soon.

I do find nights the hardest after I have eaten, any tips on this? all day Im fine then once it gets to about 7-8pm All I want to do is eat, not because Im hungry but maybe just habit, yesterday I just went to bed earlier lol!

UK challenge? :(

Hi there

I think I did it on & off for a month but I was very ill in and out of hospital so it just went to the sidelines.

I still have illness's but I really want to lose weight so I decided to give it another go after trying weight watchers and only losing 1lb in 4weeks, after sticking to it like mad, very disapointing!

I have bought my copy of the book again and bars, just waiting for them to be delivered, I am trying to get my exercise up, so I have 'started' on wednesday but not 100% as I want everything here so I cant fall off the program :)

So, I actually completed a BFL challenge successfully.......in 2004. Well, here I am, almost 10 years later and coming back. I've realized over the years, Body for Life was the BEST eating and workout lifestyle I've ever done. It was the time in my life that I really felt healthy and happy with the way I looked. I was the strongest I've ever been. The main difference now, is that I do have a 3 year old daughter that I am home with part-time. I have to really work on planning my meals out and eating on time.....this was not much of an issue 10 years ago. haha. I have just completed my first week and am having to remind myself to be patient. The results aren't going to just show up after one week. The main difference I have from 10 years ago is about 15 pounds. Last time I did this, I started at 144.....this time, I'm starting at 163. ugh. I am hoping for great results again and counting on you all for support! Glad to be back! BTW--I took beginning pics, but won't post until I have newer ones to compare them to. hehe.

I've been looking online and there are so many different things and I'm kinda confused as to what product will be best for me and my goals (which is mostly weight loss) so I thought I'd ask all the brilliant people here :)

Staying on plan despite social workouts

This is my second BFL attempt. I had to pull out last time because of a marathon injury. I started the plan while training for a full marathon. In fact, marathons and other workouts like Zumba and swimming are big parts of my social life. How do I balance these?

Please note, when I first started marathoning it was with a speed walking group. I've since moved on to running as speed walking did not raise my heart rate. I am still very close with many of those ladies who train regularly and invite me along. I want to continue to meet with them. Is this going to be an issue? They also meet for a core workout weekly. I usually cycle about ten miles before I meet with them (before program kick-off). It is very mild. I haven't seen any class quite that mild at any gym I've attended. Is it going to affect recovery?

i also have two other close friends who do body pump. I love the class and enjoy accompanying my pals. Is that something I can continue?

What about spinning?

Zumba?

Lifting weights and cardio work for me and I like the you can make it as hard or easy as you need. So, today started and surprised myself with how well my UBWO went! What a great way to start!

Have a great day everyone!

I have not done good at all. I have struggled so bad. I want to lose this weight and get healthy badly I just can't seem to cross the abyss. I have a lot on my plate right now but that should not matter I have plenty of time to workout and nothing to keep me from eating right. I have come up with every excuse in the book, but that is all they are....excuses, and you know what they say about excuses!!!

Last year I had hernia surgery for a hernia in my belly button and now it is back. It does not stop me from working out, and I do not want to have the surgery until some of this belly fat is gone so it does not return. I am going to have to have the surgery this summer when school is out and you would think that would be enough motivation to get my ass in gear.

I have said all that to say I restarted the challenge today, and it has been a good day so far. I will check in here everyday because that seems to help me stay accountable and I look forward to once again being a part of the coffee crew.

I wanted to quickly introduce myself and join the community! I have been stalking so many threads and wanted to tell everyone how inspirational just reading them has been. I am starting tomorrow with my husband. I felt so strong and powerful last year before I got married, but since my nuptials, I have gained 45+ lbs and am now larger than I have ever been in my life. My husband thinks I'm beautiful, but I just feel like I've let him down and I know my lowered confidence has definitely changed the way I carry myself and socialize with friends. I am sick of feeling embarrassed in my clothes and also sick of spending so much money having to buy larger sizes as the seasons change because I don't fit into any of my previous clothes. I am so ready to make the change and feel that this challenge may be my golden ticket.

I do have one question: when planning my workout, do I pick any of the 4 exercises in each muscle category listed in the BFL book? Is there any specific method to rotate through them or just stick with ones I come to like or stay with one exercise and master the form/weights?

Thanks!!

First week of Body For Life and Insanity

Tuesday.....finished day 2.....was it hard....YES! Did I do it......YES! I am so proud of me!! :)

I just finished my 2nd day of the insanity workout.

It was hard....very very hard but I pushed through. there were many moves I had to change up a bit to get my over 200 pound body to be able to do the moves but I did it. I keep moving it made it through! :)

The time was almost at 5 min. left and I wanted to stop soooo bad I had tears in my eyes....but I didn't stop...boy was I very very happy when 2 min later it was the final cooldown time and I know I had made it through. yea me!!!!!

right now my hands feel like little elect bolts are being sent through them due to my peripheral neuropathy but I know that it will be fine. My doc and I talked about it and if I don't move around a lot and do a lot there is no pain....but to lose the weight I have to move so I made the choice to deal with the hand and foot pain and move to get back in shape. Once I am at a healthy weight I will decide with the help of my bodymedia fit band how much movement it will take to keep the weight off. I know my hands will not hurt much then so till them I will just push through. :) My doc says being more healthy and at a lower weight could actually end up helping the peripheral neuropathy.

So I'm off to a nice cool shower and thanking God for giving me what it took to get through today's workout and looking forward to doing it again tomorrow. :)

It's very upsetting to me when I am trying to starch but can't do the move due to my very very large belly that keeps getting in the way.....gonna work sooooo hard to get my belly back to where it was 12 years ago when I was in great shape :) and you know what.......I CAN do this!

I have better results because I do this...

Whether you are on day one or half way through your challenge, it is never too late to start a success journal!!! I made a video to show you how I made my workbook and why its so important. Sorry the video isn't cooler. I shot it myself and just wanted to get it out there for you guys. I'm not one of those fancy video makers.

http://youtu.be/A861YprLhIg <----copy and paste into your browser to see the video on youtube

Body-for-Life is so much more than clean eating and exercising every day. The weightlifting techniques were designed in a specific way for a reason. The 60 seconds you wait between reps is magical. I call it 'the magic minute'. Your body will produce chemicals or something science-y and you become capable of lifting heavier in the next set. Thats what makes it unique, its part of what makes it Body-for-Life instead of plain old working out.

If you are not keeping track of this, how do you know what to do next time or see your true progress? Or if you feel really good or kind of bad, wouldn't it be nice to take a look at what you have been eating and find a trend?

On the days after my lower body workout, I have missed cardio the next day because I was really too sore. So I made it up on Sunday. Its important to know which day that was and have the worksheet to remind me. I always bring my worksheet to the gym on a clipboard and write down everything as I am doing it. Its a good way to pass the time during the minute rests. I brought an exercise guide the first couple weeks too, so I could make sure I did everything with proper form. Sometimes a machine is broken or someone is using the free weights, so its good to have back up exercises handy when you don't know very many.

BFL Coffee Crew!

Trying to figure out how to start a new thread with all the early morning coffee crew!! We WILL find a way, cause that's how we roll-right, Legs?!! :)

Any students out there who wanna start this week?

Ive tried starting a BFL challenge many times but either i get sick or hurt or something gets in the way.
I am really excited to begin my first challenge.

I am 34, fat, unfit, and completely dissatisfied with my life. Topping off the fact that I have let myself go, I got the results of a blood test last week that measured my cholesterol levels. There are dangerously high. My doctor who believes in a well balance diet has told me to cut out meat, except for some fish. A friend of mine has given me her eating for life and body for life books. They are inspiring and easy to understand. My father passed away in his early thirties and he had high cholesterol. At 34, I have outlived him. So considering everything, I don't have a choice. I have to do this... and succeed. I am scared but determined. I am realistic enough to know that this will not be easy and will be a constant battle/work in progress. But I am ready to begin...

Mobile App for Apple?

Anyone use the mobile app? One thing, the one minute rest was not enought. There are time that you need to wait for your turn to do the exercise like when you are doing wide grip pull downs. Do you have any tip on that? How to win minutes?

The other thing was the intesity level, oh my! I was dead after the 4 set and to do in the 5th 12 times, I couldn't do the 12. I did 10 :( Do I have to feel bad?

On the bench press:

50kg -12 times

60kg-10

62,5kg-8

65kg-6

62,5kg 10

15kg flyes barbell I did 12

Now next time I do upperbody. Do I have to repet the same exercise or I have to change?

I'm writing this so I can hold myself accountable (And you can help me do that with your support as well) to complete this challenge. I started the challenge last year and had to stop about 8 weeks into it because I had surgery and after that surgery was not able to work out for 3 weeks. I'm still in the same size clothes, still look OK but not like I did when I was on the BFL. I finally became brave and weighed myself for the first time since a few months ago and it was about 10 lbs off what I thought it would be. What a good wake up call that I need to be back on the BFL program. Not only is the diet something that is a complete lifestyle change (and for the better), but even after only 8 weeks last time on BFL my body started transforming. It was amazing.

I need to feel good about myself again and need this forum to read all of your positive thoughts and encouragement through your various threads. You guys are all awesome.
I am starting on 4th March 2013 anyone in to share this journey with me?

A little bit about me:

I am 5'9'' and I weight 83Kg. Probably about 24-26% bod fat. I am not new lifting weights so I have a fair bit of muscle on me which I like but with my fat weight gain (about 35lb at least) i do feel very bulky and i dont like it.

How did I get here?...well in 2009 I started taking bodybuilding seriously, decided to compete in a natural figure class and started my competition diet.

I ate well for 3 months and trained really hard...or at least that is what looked like to me...infact I underate and overtrained for 3 months...but I ll get there in a minute.

So in 3 months I had great results, I was so happy I never been so slim in my life and I loved it, I still remember the day I bought a size 8 trousers...A.mazing feeling.

However, as it turned out I never made it to the stage. Unfortunately I did come across a very unprofessional coach, but I will not go there in details a part from saying that what happened has messed up with my mind A LOT...and as a result I couldnt keep up with what I was doing anymore and i litterally just started eating everything i could get my hands on...needless to say my body just baloooned and I put on so much weight so fast I couldnt believe it. Yes I was eating a lot more but still not so much to justify that amount of weight gain.

Since then I just tried and tried to get lean again...beating myself up for being weak and gaining all the weight back on. Nothing works...no carbs, low carbs, low fat, hight fat...nothing works anymore. I damaged my metaboilism and my mind so much that my body doesnt respond to anything anymore. You can only imagine how frustrating that can be. All the cardio, all the dieting, all the clean food, all the missed meals out for what? for no results.

It took me a few years to get my head around it but I know that my body needs recovery, and balance, and love.

My plan is to do 12 weeks on a higher calories plan where my goal will be to recover properly and hopefully add some muscle, and recover , then start another 12 weeks where I will be slowly cut calories down to a small deficit to promote fat loss.

The hardest thing for me, believe it or not will be to keep up the high calories for 12 weeks, because I tend to focus on how much weight I am losing, have I lost yet? etc...but for me at this stage is about focusing on recovery and the bigger picture.

This time I am going to do it the right way. And this is where I want to start from.

I am going to post pics and measurements and planning to keep tracking my progress at 4, 6, 8,10,12 weeks for both cycles.

I am not sure if anyone has had a similar experience, but regardless of that I would love to share my journey with you.

So...are you in?

I am starting my challenge today. My goal is to lose around 40 pounds in this 12 weeks. I am adding in extra cardio to help and looking for the right diet. I am finding myself hungry but am eating often. I know this is going to be mental in the beginning but I remember reading that one of the winners did take some type of appetite suppressant. I can't find that information now. This is my 3rd time to try to complete this but am determined for success this time. Does anyone know of what it might be that previous success stories have taken?

Thanks so much!
