Danette, I'm so happy it has taken a little of the fear away - you hang in there! and if you are eating your 6 small meals and sticking to that calorie count (avg for most women) it WILL happen! If you find yourself needing support and reassurance - come over to the "Calling All Lifers - Jan 6th Game Day" in the "Getting started" category - great bunch over there supporting each other in various stages of various challenges!
Obstacles are the quickest way to decipher the
winners from the losers....
Thanks for posting this Debs, I well remember my first Challenge and almost jacking it in at 4 weeks until the team on Tracker persuaded me to keep on at it. Week 8 was a little different but oh my the following weeks showed a massive change. I only lost 6lbs on the scales but 6 and a half inches off my waist alone never mind all the other body parts. I am only on week 2 now but I KNOW that big changes are ahead of me if I stick to the programme as written.
I love the way Bill says in answer to people tweaking the programme, "You can do what you like, but I know BFL works as written" and yes it sure does.
I am feeling far more positive this week than last. I'll see you at the finish line, but this time I will only have a week or so break and start again because this is Body For LIFE not just Body For a 12 week Challenge right?
I'm with you Barb! doing 3 challenges this year, almost BTBTB.... will see how the "head" is during the next one! LOL! I am NOT backsliding this year NO MATTER WHAT... that's why I'll be staying with the forums for quite a while!
Peter_Danette, (((HUGS))) I come to realize the lull around the 7th week is normal and the 8th week something "breaks". My lull was a little early this time (week 5 - which was last week) I didn't lose a pound and all the sudden, my body let go of 4 lbs!
Come visit my blog!
Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you'll be right!
Woohooo! I'm hoping I can say the same thing very soon! finishing up week 4, lost a few first week, then blasted thing went back up! This is a new experience for me so I better read my own damn thread! lol!
It's Friday morning here in the UK and I am approaching week 3, I have put on 2 lbs and I just don't care!! Anything else would have had me falling off the wagon, but not good old BFL, I can't believe I turned my back on it for so many years mainly out of sheer bloody laziness. I am back and am not having another hellish year like the last one where I did that many diets I almost went crazy with frustration!!
I cannot wait for my week 8/9/10/11/12 miracle and I might even get around to showing my pics on here AFTER the Challenge lol.
Hey backbone, where about in the UK are you, I'm in runcorn, cheshire. Hope the weather has been kind to you. Good work sticking at it.
My success is your success.
That's the attitude Barb! I too lost 3 pounds - then put it back on in week 3, but at the end of week 4, I'd lost nearly 16 inches! awesome!. I feel so good though... I can see definition showing up all over my body, my clothes are way looser - it's all good! I swear sometimes I get on the stupid scale just say "you ain't gonna muck with my head" I'll show ya! lol!
I know what you mean Debs, I've a good mind to chuck my scales in the bin lol!!
Jeff1969 you are not going to believe this but all of my family live in Runcorn!!!! In fact I was just there last weekend!!!! Smalll world eh?
I am a displaced Scouser living in Surrey for now.
Very small world, I could very well know your family.
