My name is Abdul, and I look forward to being motivated (and hopefully, motivating) all of you who started the challenge this Monday, the 27th. One question though: while fat loss seems to be the prominent goal among the BFLers here, is anyone actually geared towards GAINING weight??? I've been underweight and skinny for most of my life, and saw this challenge as the perfect opportunity to finally get off my butt and do something about it for once. While there are a few obstacles in my way -I won't have access to a gym until next week when I move back in to college, for example!, I am confident that I can make it through it and be consistent with my diet and workouts. I'd love to hear that others, guys or gals, have a similar goal, so that we can motivate each other. If not, I hope we can motivate each other anyways, however disparate our goals might seem - we are all going after the same end-result, aren't we? ;)
Wow, what a problem to have - actually you can. It requires bumping you calorie intake 13-14 cals p/lb of scale weight is a good starting place. I know some who need 16-18 cals p/lbsw. The cardio will be important as you get started if you aren't already doing cardio then after your 1st 12-wks you can drop it all together and also heavier weight few reps as well.
Important thing is to get your body tuned in to what is required and leveraging the book workouts will get you quickly conditioned to move beyond that to meet your goals.
You can also google "bodybuilding for hard gainers" and see what others have done.
