It's Tuesday.... and I was pooped when I got up this morning. Darn it. I only had a walk with the dog in me - no HIIT for today. Hoping for a spot of yoga before days end. I'm trying not to be too bummed out, sometimes my body tells me enough, it needs to rest. So I am.
Agreed on the stupid-ass scale comment Heathercita. I hate the darn thing. I know that when I start to feel a bit lighter the scale always betrays me. So I refuse to go there. My husband insists things are changing. Of course he has hallucinated in the past.
Have I shared my favorite new shake? Egg whites, cucumber, cocoa powder, PB2, stevia, splash o' coconut milk, flax and ice. So yummy. And yes, a bit weird.
Shell - when do you leave for NYC? You are going to rock it and be an example to all those clients with your clean eats and resolve! I know it.

i done my cardio this morning and some much needed stretches. i hit my 10's :)
then i spent a couple hours at the dmv. glad i worked out hard earlier or i just might have had energy to be angry at the incompetence!!!!!! RRRRRRR this is part of the reason i'm doing this challenge, actually. i filled out my paperwork for a new license just over a month ago. i filled my weight in at 200. then i started wondering - did i guess too high? so i stepped on the scale and LO and BEHOLD i saw 215. *gasp* then i took a long look at myself and decided i should not continue on this path.
i've got good meals planned all day (except dinner - that'll be a surprise for all of us lol)
Hi my girls! I'm tired this morning as well. I wonder if it's the wonky weekend then digging deep for Monday's legs leaving me tired. My husband is too. Glad to see everyone is still checking in despite tiredness. :)
I have never had a problem with it logging me out mid-reply but I do delete my entire post a lot lol. VERY frustrating!
I'm not stepping on the scale but I did notice my legs, while still fat, are looking more shapely. I am clinging onto that with every fingernail! My stomach, on the other hand, is still just as poofy and overweight as ever.
I have nothing good to report today except I've fallen into a bad habit of adding protein powder to my tea in the morning and calling it good. Now it's after 12 and that's all I've had today. Need to get myself back in gear, just having a hard time being creative with my eats to make them worth eating.

Just wondering if any of you have tried the Myoplex packets? I just used one in a pumpkin smoothie and it is AWFUL. Opinions? I hope it's not the pumpkin or nutmeg! I'll be super mad I paid $40 for this Myoplex and it sucks though. Then to have to buy my beloved Jay Robb on top of it. Arg.

I also am tired. I had a very goo (and tough) cardio and ab workout this AM. Boy am I sore! Even with the glutamine and the Bêtagen. (which I am still in love with). Here north of LA in the high desert it was 111 degrees today! Holy crap. I spent an hour baking my you know what off in this sun during Camron's swim lessons and boy did I feel sick. I hate the heat. I hate the heat. I hate the heat. And oh yeah. Did I mention how much I hate the heat??? Ok I am Done with my rant!
I will take pics and measure in about an hour. I will share measurement results tomorrow.
When I got home tonight, I was craving vegetables!!!!!! I cannot get enough! I made the most delicious Asian salad ever! Sooooooo good and so cool, satisfying and filling.
Southern- oh my gosh you made me laugh so hard.(I must look like a dork laughing like that by myself). But putting protein powder in your tea?????? Yuk! I wish you were near by! I would cook for you! I make a lot of very fast stuff. I love the healthy wheat blend tortillas (chipotle chile flavor is amazing) I heat it over a flame, put red pepper hummus ( maybe tablespoon) add lettuce, cucumber, sliced turkey and wrap it up! Sooo good. Greek yogurt with sweetener and sugar free preserves on top of a light and crispy rye crisp. Tonight's salad: ground chicken cooked with some
Me bottled garlic and ground ginger with chili paste and soy sauce. Pepper to taste set aside. Made a salad with bell pepper butter Lettuce, avocado (small amount) lots of cucumber, and tomatoes with roasted unsalted peanuts and sesame seeds. Toss sald with ginger dressing ( I use Annie's Gingerly) and top with warm spicy chicken. Oh yeah and I added a bit of orange zest and supremes orange sections ( you can use canned mandarins). Delightfully light and very summer fresh!
I drink myoplex lite. Vanilla flavor. I love it, but dont think I will be adding Pumpkin Nytime soon. Today I mixed it with unsweetened cocoa and sweetner. It was yummy and filling! I mix it with instant coffee, cocoa, fruit, cinnamon, and a combination of them. Love it so far. Try it plain first then Add stuff and see how you feel!
Heathercita! So funny! I had a similar photo experience and realized I used to be hot and sexy and now I'm a blob! Lol. But not anymore ladies!! We are kicking the crap out of ourselves for the greater good!!!! Right?

Wow, shellbells, you put me to shame! That salad sounds so incredible and I love them! Just never can think what to do with them when making them on my own. I'll be putting this on the menu, sounds delicious!
I made the cake batter ice cream smoothie for after dinner (a very boring grilled chicken with zucchini coins topped with parm and sweet potato.) It was great! I didn't have enough ice so had to use frozen bananas and it was a very real banana muffin batter flavor. My husband and I loved it and had to finally give half to the kids cause they were by our sides with their mouths open like when they're babies and want to try every thing you have lol. Very nice substitute for not really ice cream (next time I'll put it in the ice cream maker - that'd be a treat.)
Good luck on your measuring, shellbells!! I laughed at you laughing at me, try it in your coffee with some milk. It's a passable creamer. Well, the Jay Robb whey is anyway.

I couldn't wait! I was shaking I was so scared!!!! But I lost 6.75 inches overall!!!!!!!!! Mostly from thigh, hip and waist! oMG this is so fricken exciting!!!!!!!! BOOOOO YAAAA!!! Hubby lost 5 inches overall while building bulk in his chest and thighs !! Sexy!

Yo Yo Yo Ladies... a rough start to the day for me today. Woke up with cramps, had a major snafu with a work project, had some PB and oatmeal for lunch to comfort my stress (SNAP) and here I am not having worked out yet and it's 4:30pm. So I came here for inspiration to get my butt in gear and salvage the day.
Shell: Salad sounds amazing, I am coming back for that one when I have the chili paste in the cupboard. Way to go on the measuring - you are so brave. I may not be taking those pictures this week after all....

I am almost ready for NY. I managed to work all day, get in a rockin upper body work out, AND get all the errands done. I had my daughter take my grandson to swim lessons which she was VERY upset about, but I just cant do it today...I gotta be at the A/P by 5:30AM and there was so much to do.

today was hard. so was yesterday. i'm over this crap! i felt like my world was crumbling around me. i'm frustrated beyond words with work and dance and being a mom (my baby is only 17 months old but she's kicking my a$$!). i went to dance anyway and it made me feel better. it always does. work is relentless. i really wanted to alter my mood and not deal with any of this crap. i didn't want to be present. but fortunately i've learned to look outside of myself. i survived. we all came through and i don't have anything to make apologies for.
oh, and i did my lower body workout this morning. it was good. now i must go to bed. tomorrow will be better.
hooo....sorry about that downer. i've been reading up a bit on babies/todders and it turns out they all suck once in a while. good news? she's developing just fine. other good news? i'm at work and she doesn't know how to get here. the big dance show is august 18th and that will free up my schedule a ton! i actually didn't get up and do cardio today. i've found myself doing this here and there, but i have the idea in my head that because HIIT is 20 min, i can easily squeeze it in somewhere. probably not the best plan.
i made chicken fajitas the other night (thanks to Snow) and they made me absolutely giddy! i enjoyed them for lunch yesterday as well. - just reminiscing...

Snowpuff, way to go on getting that workout in! I think it's the days you have to push yourself a little harder to do it that you grow mentally in strength.

I don't feel like I'm giving my all during cardio so I'm going to try to push harder today. I'm also ditching the protein powder in my tea because I still don't like the Myoplex. Gosh, that means I have to eat real food for breakfast. Speaking of inches gained and lost, my husband walked into the kitchen yesterday to do some random thing and my eyes about popped out! He reached up to get a glass and his arm sleeve fell back and revealed some serious triceps and delts! I was shocked! Dang men and testosterone, lol.
