HI EVERYONE! My name is Sonya and I am beginning my challenge today. I have begun this challenge NUMEROUS times since 1998, but I have never finished it. I always found myself losing focus and motivation and trying something different the minute I felt as though what I was doing wasn't working good enough. I have done just about every fat burner and fad diet you can think of...losing a small amount of scale weight, but still not seeing the results and muscle definition I would like to see. I am a pear shape and I have read so many different articles and done so much research on what works best for my body type that I think I am working on overload! I have never had a workout that I stuck with longer than 3-4 weeks. Today, that is all about to change. I am committing myself to this challenge...after 14 years I think it's high time I did!
It's great to have you here! Today is my 6th day on the program, and it's the longest I've stuck with something in many years, I'm ashamed to say. I first started the challenge back in 2000, just before becoming pregnant with my 3rd daughter, and that lasted a few weeks total. Since then, I've attempted this or that program time and time again, only to end up being a slave to my discouragement. I've never been able to pull out of my slump bc I'm defeated before I start.
I have no doubt that we can do it this time! I feel like I have no choice at this point if I want my health back.. and like you, what's been keeping me going is that I keep the "end in mind." :)
Hi Sonya! My name is Lauren and I started 7/2/12 as well! I have completed a full 12 weeks in the past after the birth of my first daughter and I saw amazing results. I turned in the challenger packet and everything. I will tell you, around weeks 6-8 it got really difficult to stay with it, but I persevered. My motto was persistence, not perfection. You will plateau and lose encouragement but KEEP GOING! It's so worth it. I cannot wait for this challenge because it is exactly 12 weeks leading up to my 37th birthday and I want to be in shape! BFL is my favorite program by far.
Maybe we can check in and be buddies to stick with it.
