Gooood Morning!
I'm tired today and a sore from my upper body workout (in a good way). I started another supplement today HMB (supports muscle health) along with Slim CLA. I had my husband feel my biceps last night - sweet! I just need to remove the excess material between the two (Ha Ha). I keep reading that this will start disappearing later in the challenge and I can not wait. Ok, I can't wait till cheat day either - need something sweeeet & chocolate!
Have a happy & healthy weekend everyone,
Tonja
My arms were still a bit sore when I did UBWO this morning. It sure feels good though. It may be my imagination but I think I can tell a difference already----yipee!
TGIF!!
Didn't get in my cardio yesterday....crud. Back on the wagon again today. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Tonja - I hear you about the Mexican. I cannot even go near a Mexican restaurant unless it is my cheat day. Love the margaritas and chips and salsa. Yum!
I haven't looked into making an appointment for an assessment yet but I will do that soon. Wow, I just realized my "to do" list is getting long. I keep saying "I will do that soon". Need to hop on that right away!
Going to check out Zavi's blog right now......
Afternoon,
I just posted my before pictures on my profile - ugh! Now, I can look at it while I am eating lunch and going for anything unhealthy at work. I am craving... sweets terribly. Actually, can wait to have my choc. fudge AdvantEdge shake and hopefully it will help. My free day might have to be tomorrow instead of Sunday.
Have a fun & healthy weekend.....
strangely enough, thought I'd be craving sweets but I'm not....probably b/c I'm not even hungry! Hopefully that continues :)
Does it matter if free day is Saturday or Sunday, so long as we do the exercise on the proper day? Saturday may be better for me. Any thoughts on this?
Just did my cardio!! Wooohoo, ready for the day off tomorrow! Have a great day everyone---enjoy no workout and some of your favorite foods!
cattymeow, I don't think it matters what day your free day is on as long as you continue to follow the program the other 6 days. I made yesterday my free day because I had a girls' night out that was planned 4 weeks in advance for a friend visiting from out of town, and we went to some places I rarely get to eat at so I decided to move my free day up to Friday and enjoy myself! I gotta say, the sudden intake of rich food (mostly Mediterranean and New American/French) kind of shocked my system. I didn't feel sick but it was definitely different.
Killed it at upper body this morning... I've been able to get to the gym while fasting 4 days out of 5! Woohoo! It's a great feeling to start the day off already having accomplished a goal. :)
Also, I found a simply amazing sweet potato recipe from a website and shared in The Kitchen section. I used to hate sweet potatoes but this recipe has me hooked! Check it out.
Hope everyone enjoys their free day tomorrow!
Good morning! Another weekend and I missed lower body workout being out of town just makes things difficult. We have to visit Grandma, but time just flies by..... Back at it tonight Cardio. I enjoyed my free day of food, but it just didn't taste as good as I hoped. Did anyone else feel the same? I indulged with coffee & flavored cream - just wasn't the same!
Also, I weighed my self & measured my waist - no change :o( My husband had to remind me that I look firmer & fat weighs less than muscle. So, I will turn this into around. I am going to take pictures next week in the same bathing suit & I hope/bet that I will see a difference in a few places.
Have a happy & healthy Monday! Drink your water too.
Hi everyone,
I hurt my neck/shoulder area in the gym yesterday (3 times in about a month), so today I'm going to rest. It's something about placing a barbell on my shoulder or doing any exercise that requires me to lift my arms over my head. My neck just hates it so now I have to look for alternative exercises.
I was proud for exercising all 6 days last week. My eating could have been better (had a glass wine almost every night) and it will be better this week. I got my bf done at the gym...wait for it...25%. I definitely want to get that down to at least 19% on this challenge.
mwseahorse- I looked for your recipe in the kitchen section but couldn't find it. Did you post it in Feb or Mar?
Theresa
The last time I did BFL, I didnt see a measurable change until week 3.
I know what you mean about the food not tasting as good. For my free day, I had wine and 2 pieces of pizza Friday night. Yum....
Keep it up Tonja! We can do it!
NshapeT, looks like the post didn't take! It's up there now. :)
Tonja, I agree with you completely on the food tasting different. I ate some pretty rich foods on my free day and the main thing I noticed is how salty everything was! That was an unexpected surprise. I was half anticipating a headache from all the fats, sugars and salts but didn't get one; although I am wondering if that will begin to materialize as the weeks progress.
Here's to Week Two!
Hi gang,
Well last week went great, did my free day on Saturday and I noticed that the sweet stuff tasted way too sweet! Funny how that happened. I didn't pig too much but definitely ate more, almost felt like I forced it. I was away on business yesterday and the gym didn't have heavy weights so I just rode the bike. Then I felt like I had to do the interval cardio today to stay on schedule but feel bad that I missed lower body weights on Monday. Hopefully the next time I travel, the hotel has a better gym!! I was proud of the fact that I stayed on my food plan even though away from home, which bodes well for future travel :)
Oh well, it's a new week let's have at it!
Is anyone noticing any results yet. I can't remember how long it took to SEE results last time...I know I feel better already although!
NashGal,
I have read many BFL for us girls & it seems like week 8! So, I guess we will have Christmas in a few more weeks! I am completely with you about feeling better. I did notice that I have less of a chin - not particularly the body part that I wanted to lose 1st, but it is what it is!
Keep it up!
