Hello to all. I just wanted to pop in and say Hi! My name is Julie and I will be starting my BFL journey, oficially, no Monday. I have followed BFL on and off for years, but never really made it stick. Since January I have been back at it, eating clean, working hard and just changing my life, on day at a time!! Since January I have lost 22lbs and am feeling great, I thought maybe signing up and competing in the challenge would give me a little extra incentive to see what I am capable of by summer!! I am recently seperated after 17 years of marriage, and filed for divorce last month. I am not sad, I am learning with each passing day that I let a bad marriage consume me, and change who I was inside. I felt like I wasn't worth taking care, and now I see that nothing could be further from the truth!! Every day I get a little stronger, and everyday I see a little more of the old me in everything that I do. I thank God for the many blessings in my life, especially my 3 children. I plan to succeed in every aspect of my life starting right here with my health!! Wish me luck, I look forward to getting to know many of you!! I am from Wisconsin, 38 years old, and just excited to be getting my life back!!
Julie - 1st off congrats!!!! From what you wrote it's from the heart and I can tell you are ready!
Like you I've been off and on w/ BFL and something inside me after 9 years said go for it! (Prior to my March 8th start I did simple walking like a mile a day, and push ups sit ups, but I wasn't getting the results I wanted)
So I'm sticking with it. I'm on C1W7D44 .....if you don't know what that means...took me awhile I thought it was some sort of code...
Challenge 1 ...some people are on their 2, 3, or more challenges....they truly are doing this for life!
Week 7 - So much happens each week and it's great to hear people's thoughts and transformations on each week it gets me excited and motivated
Day 44 - Wow to my shagrin I just realized I've got 40 more days and I am gaining some momentum!
So welcome! You'll find some friendly, positive and motivated people here, and some who get discouraged, but they are honest and we help each other out.
So Hello and Good luck from Vegas! ~Marqui D.
Julie congrats on your decisions and the positive way you can see things! This is a great place to come for information and support!

Hi Julzannette72 :D
Welcome & congratulations on your progress thus far! 22 lbs is something to be proud of! I'm almost 38, with three children & I'm doing my 4th challenge. I've had some bumps along the way & I can honestly say that BFL is giving me my self back, or maybe helping me to discover a new self...I don't really know. But I love it! And you have come to a great place for encouragement. If you work out in the mornings, feel free to pop into the BFL Coffee Crew thread. Many of the early risers "meet" for coffee either before or after their workouts. It's great for accountability.
Keep us posted as to how things go!
Great to have you! Getting healthier is the best choice you can make for both you and your children!
We look forward to hearing from you!
Welcome...offically :-) Great decision! Show your babies how to live! Show your babies how important it is to love themselves! Our stories parallel quite a bit. You are in a good place. I look forward to your progress!
Keep the faith!
