I weighed a couple of times this week...even though I am going to try not to the rest of this (only once a week)...my final loss for the week is 7 lbs.
I know most of this is water weight and not having 2 or 3 meals in me from reatuarants or fast food at any given time, however, I am still happy.
Here are specifics of the changes I made this week compared to pre-challenge:
BEFORE CHALLENGE
2800-3000 calories a day, mostly fast food and dining out 1500-1600 calories a day, all prepared by me in 5-6 minimeals
no eating after 6 pm eating whenever, some evening eating and snacking
little to no water, sweet tea and Coke 64-99 oz water a day, no caffeine or sweetened or artificially sweetened drinks
little to no exercise training as program requires as closely as I am physically able
staying up until 1130-1 am going to bed about 930-1000
no vitamins or supplements Women's multi, Omegas, calcium, Vitamin D, Magnesium, Vitamin A, Zinc
Dining out 2 times a day, most days of the week 1 cheat meal in which I dine out
So far, I am not missing dining out...I realized a long time ago it should be a treat, not a way of life. I've enjoyed cooking. I've had some recipe disasters...haha...in trying to combine my carbs and protein...like the 1/2 cup of oat bran with a scoop of protein powder and 1/4 cup of Fiber One...GAG...or the blended cottage cheese and peach- which I thought would be yogurt like...it was gross-like. I'll stick with Greek yogurt :)
AND, just in this week and today, I've pushed myself harder with weight training! I have already increased my reps by about 10-50 pounds, depending on exercises...
SO YAY FOR MY BIG-BONED AND MUSCULAR FRAME! It is serving me well :)
Some of the text is wrapping from the "CHALLENGE" lines into the BEFORE...hope it still makes sense.
Congratulations!!! What awesome lifestyle changes!!!! Keep it up!!!!
Great job!! I've found that I'm glad I'm going to bed earlier, because, if I stay up til 11 or so, all the sudden I get hungry.. So I try not to stay up past my bed time lol..
And you called it your " 1 cheat meal in which I dine out" It's not a cheat meal, it's a free day. :) I know it's one of my pet peeves, but I have to point it out because 'cheating' makes it sound like you arent supposed to be doing it, that's not true at all!! And since most of this challenge is a mind game, you dont want to even have the wrong words around you. So make sure you enjoy you FREE DAY. Or at least your FREE meal.. Any other day would be considered cheating ;)
Congratulations! That is tremendous progress for week 1! Keep it up!
congrats! that is wonderful.
Great job on week 1..;) ..just think what week 2 and 3 will bring.
Your changes seem great and very positively geared to success. Best wishes to you.
With you great success the first week would you mind posting your typical day of eating. Thanks so much.
