I read the original BFL probably about ten years ago and throughout the years bought (and read) BFL for Women and BFL Champions but only got through ONE WEEK of the challenge about two years ago. I recently picked up BFL Champions again while on vacation and read the whole thing over with a fresh mind. Now I'm doing the challenge for real and couldn't be more excited!
Here are my basic stats:
Female, 32 , 5'1 118lbs 23% bf
I'd like to get to about 16% bf and am not totally focused on the scale. I've never ever committed to a weight routine but have worked long and hard to get my eating habits under control. I'm a good eater, I just eat too darn much! This program is so simple and I just know that it will work if I stay consistent. My weight at the beginning of this challenge is not too heavy but I am flabby and have embarrassing cellulite on my thighs and butt. I grew up really chubby and got close to 150 lbs in college. For my height, that is heavy. Anyway, I realized that pretty much all of my personal dreams involve or require a high level of fitness so there seems to be no reason why I shouldn't follow a plan that leads me to a fit body with such simple instructions. My goal is to do this program without "thinking I know better". I obviously don't!
When my wonderful and loving bf took my before photos, I was mortified. He didn't say anything bad but all I could think was, "poor guy, he must be so disgusted right now". What a terrible thing to think about myself. :(
I do know that there are going to be challenges but the format is so simple, I'm going to get through come hell or highwater. My bf is a chef and one of my roomates works for a gourmet bread company---ay yi yi! All I know is that I have finally come to terms with the fact that there is a price to pay for fitness and to me, it is worth it.
As much as I don't want to look at my week 0 photos, I'm going to post within the week on my profile.
And to those of you who've been posting their progress photos, thank you for the inspriration!
Looking forward to doing this together,
