How does the CLA (EAS brand) work for you? Is it a good supplement?

I called eas, she told me that it was recommended for best results to take 3.6g a day and since each capsules(at least the one I have) has 1gper I take 4 aday.

this link will tell a great detail about the different types of omega acids and what they do. I'm using this and it's awesome. I'm on the first day of week 7, already fit all my clothes better and on the tightest belt loop on three different belts.

There are many threads with CLA in them if you search for "CLA". I just wanted to mention that the results of Fish Oil and CLA are not immediate. Somewhere I read that a person has to consistantly take them for 6 months. So keep that in mind. :) I still take mine (when I remember) and BCAA's. I have protein powder too and that's it.
My first challenges I used Myoplex regularly and Creatine. I am trying to wean off as I do not want to use them all my maintenance life! The CLA and FO however are cheap and something I feel everyone should take regardless.
I ended up at 11.5 % body fat, but I never took any CLA, Betagen, or fish oil..... as supplements I only use Myoplex shakes, and 5-10 g. Creatine a day. Would these others have made a difference? If so, how? Do you think women would need them more than men?
Hey Jacium. Sounds like you are in amazing shape. Good for you!!
I depended on BFLMikes wisdom on supplements aLOT so cannot give you an educated answer myself. Hopefully somebody else that can will.
I personally took Betagen challenge 1 and 2 for the Creatine in it for muscle growth. I do not want any more "growth" so by the advice of Champster, am now just taking CLA, FO and BCAA's along with the whey protein shakes/powder. I am not sure, but I think my body actually loves this stuff and it is something I see myself using longterm. Not for scale weight loss but purely from a feeding my machine with proper foods outlook. I like the idea that the FO helps my joints and brain. :) and I certainly dont eat enough fresh fish.
Supplements are a personal choice and certainly should be taken with the advice of a trusted friend or employee of a reputable supplement store. There are SO many out there and it gets confusing. It depends on personal goals and how much you are willing to pay I guess in the end. And definately there are differences with men and women supplements. Again - talk to somebody that you can trust.
Keep up the great work. You must be on maintenance? High 5.
I have been making sure to have 1 tablespoon of olive oil as day on my veggies and stuff. Is this not okay? or I may eat some avocado on my wrap. Hmmmmm- now I am wondering.

Legs,
I was going to put up a post asking for thoughts about "maintenance mode". I'm not sure I believe it truly exists, but we can get to something approaching it. Anyway, if you read my bio, you'll see I took a slightly different path to reach my destination. It's my nature to always try to keep moving forward. BFL is now my lifestyle.
And, high five to you for finishing your challenges and helping and inspiring so many others. Are you formally doing another challenge now or are you maintaining?
You're right on about talking to an expert about supplements. Interestingly, when I told my doctor I was taking 5 g. of creatine a day, she said it was fine and suggested I go up to 10 g.!
BTW - have you heard of the piezoresistance instrument for body fat measurements? I hear it's not quite as accurate as the calipers, but of course much quicker (30 seconds or so for a reading)
Hey Jacium: I am in week 12 (tomorrow) of challenge 4. It will be my last. I did not plan on a C4, but with BFLMike passing - this one is for him. :) BFL is definately the best foundation of fitness around.
I have not heard of piezoresistance before. Sounds interesting.
You shoud start a maintanence thread. There are several of us that would check in I am sure. OR - come to the Coffee Crew. :) - We are all sorts of weeks/challenges/maintenance there.
I doubt anyone there drinks more coffee than I do, so I'll be checking in with the Coffee Crew periodically. It must be quite a crew with the posts approaching 4000!
Jacium: You need to meet Champster. You may have your coffee consumption match with her. He he he.
And yes, quite the crew alright.
