Obviously we all know that the Body for life eating and excercise plan work for the 12 weeks and beyond, however, what if you could boost your success without lifting another finger? Awesome huh!
This is still very much a work in progress for myself. Numerous years of telling myself things that I would never accept from anyone else ("I'm fat", "I'll never be slim", "I'm ugly", "I've got no willpower", "Just give up now you'll only fail in the end anyway" sound familiar?) is a difficult habit to break.
However, having seen an neurolingistic programming and hypno therapist I am now trying to implement their teachings to not just eat and excercise myself thin but to think myself thin as well. So everynight, as I lay in bed, I imagine myself as the slim, toned, fit, athletic looking person I AM going to be, I think of myself being thin and happy I think of it as if I am already that way. Everytime I catch myself thinking anything negative I say STOP and replace it with a positive thought and everytime
Dont get me wrong changing the way I think is way harder than changing what I have for breakfast or how often I excercise but is in someways more important. My goal is to change not only the way i look in 12 weeks but the way i think so that at the end of my first challenge I think of myself in a more positive way and think of food as fuel rather than comfort.
Science has proved that by thinking of yourself slim your giving your brain a clear image of what you require from it, it then does what it needs to to achieve this i.e. speeding up your metabolism, reducing cravings, and giving you more energy. Sounds far fetched? If asked almost all top sports people in all sports will tell you they visualise the outcome they desire over and over again. So when it comes to the actual event their brain already knows what to do and has prepared the body for it.
So give it a go 5 minutes before you go to sleep it will make you feel happier and keep you on the path to BFL success.

Great post. I've read several things similar to this. One of the things that really stuck out in my mind was that you have to be convinced that you deserve to be fit, slim, healthy, happy. I am going to try to implement more fully in my life.
The power of mind is a very important part of any physical goals. Probably more work is done mentally then physically, if you really do it right. But that sure is hard to believe sometimes.
Visualization will produce incredible results.
10's in exercise and nutrition = 10's in life
good on you for doing NLP. Very good stuff!
Granted, thinking yourself thin is only part of the formula imho.
Success <<< Thinking yourself thin + BFL challenge (taking action) + having faith that you'll make it through until success.
I so agree with this kind of thinking! Whenever I have had success in life....it's first started with the power of positive thinking! On the flip side.....my failures have started with negative thinking. This kind of stuff pumps me up! Love it. Thanks for the post. I will go to bed tonight fit, sexy, and lean. LOL! I'm laughing in a good way because it feels good to think of myself that way!
The key is to get those conscious thoughts down into your SUBconsious where they will become fact. I'm curious to see how this works out for you. Keep at it I think you're on to something solid here.
