Grand Champion Women Age 18-30

Name: Nancy Fish
Occupation: Property Manager
State: Oklahoma

I am a single parent of two great kids. I had never been in the physical condition that I desired to be in and had tried many over-the-counter diet pills. I was intimidated by the scene of a gym with so many unfamiliar machines and I was very out of shape. A year before starting the Challenge I began a very demanding job. I worked six days a week and ate out approximately two times a day. I also snacked all day on junk food because it temporarily made me feel better from the stress and anxiety. I felt overloaded with stress. In December 2006 I got laid off just four days before Christmas, and was at the end of a seven-year relationship with my boyfriend. I ate to make myself feel better and felt tired and sluggish most of the day. I wasn’t a happy person and I was disgusting myself. After a conversation with my sister and a friend who had previously entered the Challenge, I decided to get motivated and give it a try. The Body-for-LIFE Challenge was nothing like anything else I had tried. Previously putting myself on a diet consisted of eating a bag of Doritos instead of a cheeseburger combo meal. On the Challenge I was eating 5-6 times a day and was having to remind myself to eat because I wasn’t hungry. When I first started doing cardio my heart rate would rise to the 190’s within a few minutes because I was so out of shape. However, my heart is much more conditioned now. I watched the exercise demos on the BFL Website and I started strength training. I almost quit 4 weeks into the Challenge because I got an upper respiratory infection and didn’t work out or eat right for almost 2 weeks. I thought that I had lost too much valuable time but I kept going and I am so glad I did. The results have amazed me. I went from wearing a size 10 to a size 0 (I am smaller now than I was in High School). I weighed 136 at the beginning and weighed 114 at the end. I dropped my body fat percentage from 21% to 16.5%. I can actually see muscle tone which thrills me and keeps me motivated. I am now happier, lighter and more confident. I feel educated on healthy eating and exercise and can pass that down to my kids. I am also looking forward to more improvements and maintaining the new me. I love both the new body and life that Body-for-LIFE has helped me achieve.

Results: Body fat went from 21% to 16% in 12 weeks while dropping clothing size from a size 10 to a size 0
Supplements Used: AdvantEdge Carb Control RTD's, CLA
