David Fahari from Florida —
In honor of his mother, who had obesity issues and died in a car accident, David Fahari joined the Challenge and dedicated his efforts to her. Many times during the campaign, he wanted to quit a workout, but used his mother’s inspiration to keep going. “I pictured my mom laughing as I said, ‘This is what a 100 percent intensity level looks like!’” Additionally, he found renewed energy by quitting smoking, drinking and eating fast food. When he finished the Challenge, his fitness instructor couldn’t believe his results: waist dropped four inches, gained an inch and half of muscle in the major muscle groups and decreased his body fat percentage from 18 percent to 7.8 percent. Because of what he has gone through, he has become a source of inspiration and guidance for friends, family and even strangers.
