Jerry Braam from Missouri —  Braam, a 38-year-old respiratory practitioner, seriously injured his spine in an accident 10 years ago. That was the beginning of the decline of his physical health. In his practice, he found himself advising his patients on health, but neglecting his own. Nearing 40 and feeling out of shape, Braam knew he wanted and needed to accept the Body-for-LIFE Challenge. He had to take his advice to heart. Today, he is breathing easier as he improved his resting heart rate (from 90 to 60), decreased his body fat percentage from 30.6 percent to 9.9 percent and gained half of an inch in height from his improved posture.
